Marks/Inscriptions: PUTTER by A.G. SPALDING & BROS. PRIOD 1925. Presented to Horton Smith by Dr. R. C. Lounsberry of La Jolla, California, and used by Smith in the major professional tournaments in 1929 and 1930. Horton Smith, who is considered by many experts to be the greatest putter of modern times, averaged 72 for 100 competitive rounds in 1929 and won $15,000.
