The Ortogo Singer golf ball was created by a collaboration between Herbert Montague Singer (inventor of the “Singer” golf ball, and Charles Thomas Kingzell, inventor of the “Ortogo” golf ball. This new ball is a hollow globe covered in alternating layers of chemically prepared rubber and gutta percha.
The Improved Golf Balls Co., Ltd. was founded in 1903, presumably when Singer and Kingzell decided to collaborate on the Ortogo—Singer.
